The National Barn Alliance holds its annual conference on May 14-16, 2009 at the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill near Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The 2009 barn conference features recognized barn preservation experts from around the country speaking on topics including barn maintenance, adaptive reuse of barns, and the role of barns in sustainable agriculture.
Preservation Kentucky, Inc. co-sponsors this year’s event.
Cost: $95 per person. Early bird registration (before April 15) and full-time student registration is $75. Registration Includes a Thursday evening opening reception aboard the Dixie Belle, Friday conference and Friday evening dinner event.
On Saturday, May 16, Preservation Kentucky will conduct two concurrent barn tours highlighting Kentucky barns in the region. Registration for the Saturday tours is $50.
